Top Dogs of Marketing: Bear from Reach

It’s Friday so that means it’s time for Top Dogs of Marketing! This week, we meet Bear from marketing agency Reach.

Bear is a two-year old wauzer – which we had to Google to figure out is a cross between a West Highland white terrier and a schnauzer – and has quite the presence. Despite only being on the Reach team for a year, he runs the agency’s entire security portfolio, including both physical and cyber, and has the jacket to prove it.

Say hello to Bear

Job title: Head of Security. (“He is tough,” says his human and Reach chief executive Struan Abernethy.)

Time in role: One year.

About Bear: A bit of a fitness enthusiast, you can usually find Bear working out at the gym. Not only do his regular workouts keep him in tip-top physical condition for his role as Reach’s security detail, they’re also good for his mental health.

When he’s not in the gym or at work, Bear likes to relax by watching MMA on TV, adds Abernethy.

Skills: Bear is very intelligent and as such, his portfolio also includes cyber security. How he manages to operate a computer with those fur-tastic paws is beyond us here at NZ Marketing, but we’re not about to question it.

He is also particularly adept at running around and sniffing things.

Top snacks: Bear eats a lot of protein, including chicken and eggs, to build and maintain the muscle mass he needs for his role.

Top Dogs of Marketing is our regular Friday feature where we unleash our furry favourites and celebrate their contribution to office life. Last week, we met up with the crew of pooches from Phantom Billstickers, who hold down a variety of roles across the office.

If you reckon your very good girl or boy deserves to feature in a future #TDOM, tell us all about them using the form below.

Come back next week for another Top Dog!
