The YouTube NZ Marketing Awards 2024

Aotearoa’s finest marketing achievements were in the spotlight again with the return of the NZ Marketing Awards, which recognise exceptional strategies, campaigns and individuals. Now in its 33rd year, NZ Marketing magazine (owned by SCG) and the NZ Marketing Association (MA) are excited to have one of the world’s largest brands, YouTube, as naming partner for the Awards.

The 2024 YouTube NZ Marketing Awards celebrate the collective excellence in strategic and creative thinking that goes into award-winning marketing. They recognise exceptional marketing and marketing professionals that shape successful businesses across all aspects of the discipline. The Awards:

  • set the standards for marketers and their service industries in a local context.
  • provide examples of integrated marketing that have been rigorously judged by an independent panel of some of the country’s most respected marketers and business leaders.
  • raise business and organisational awareness — both private and public sector — of the value of marketing, and understanding of the economic importance of marketing excellence.
  • demonstrate the tangible (commercial and human) benefits that accrue from marketing excellence.

The 2024 YouTube NZ Marketing Awards spotlight the pinnacle of marketing excellence in New Zealand. 

They offer recognition in three key areas: Marketing Excellence Awards, Marketing Campaign Awards, and Individual Awards, covering a comprehensive range of 32 categories.

Marketing Excellence Awards recognise excellence in specific disciplines across different sectors, demonstrating how effective marketing strategy has led to measurable results for a business or brand.

The Marketing Campaign Awards recognise innovative and agile marketing initiatives that have identified short-term opportunities/challenges and delivered tangible results within 12 months or less.

Individual Awards recognise marketing professionals who have contributed to a business or brand’s overall marketing success, both in the short and long term.

This year three new categories were added to reflect the constantly evolving nature of this dynamic industry: Best Use of Content Marketing Campaign Award, Best Use of Video Marketing Campaign Award and Brand of the Year (internationally judged by the indomitable marketing professor Mark Ritson).

Awards night was an incredible event, held at Spark Arena on September 4.
