Top Dogs of Marketing: Otto from Alexanders

Wag your tail: it’s time for Top Dogs of Marketing! This week, we have the pleasure of meeting Otto from digital marketing agency Alexanders, based in Christchurch.

Otto is a five-year old border collie and has been in the role of Welcome Officer at Alexanders for three and a half years. He’s particularly good at leaving fur on your blazer, according to his human, Rachel Alexander. But he’s equally as good at making you feel loved, and isn’t that what we all want in life? He loves a good run around on the farm, and has found friendship with the family sheep. They think he is one of them.

Say hello to Otto

Job title: Welcome Officer

Time in role: Three and a half years.

About Otto: Outside of work, Otto likes to spend his weekends pretending to be a sheep dog. However, the sheep think he is one of the flock so he’s not very effective in this role.

He goes out with the other sheep dogs and loves running without a lead on the farm, but generally causes havoc when mustering.

He’s always available for pet food photo shoots! 📸

Skills: Otto is really good at leaving lots of fur on blazers just before client meetings. But he is so adept at making clients feel loved upon arrival that they feel so welcomed they forget all about said fur. He frequently attacks the outdoor broom, which makes raking the leaves up impossible.

Judging by the pics below, he’s also adept at napping – love to see it!

Top Dogs of Marketing is our regular Friday feature where we unleash our furry favourites and celebrate their contribution to office life. Last week, we were introduced to Bear, a tough dog who is Head of Security at Reach.

If you reckon your very good girl or boy deserves to feature in a future #TDOM, tell us all about them using the form below.

Come back next week for another Top Dog!
