Google Labs has launched a new AI tool to help SMEs create scalable marketing assets. The tool, Pomelli, was launched in partnership with Google DeepMind on October 29.
Everyone knows digital assets are crucial for brand building, but if you’re a solo operator or have a small team, creating them can be a real strain on resources.
Google promises that unlike other editing tools, Pomelli can analyse and understand a business’ brand identity, creating a foundation that it then generates all content from.
How does Pomelli work?
According to Pomelli’s official page on the Google Blog, here are the three steps to bring your brand ideas to life:
1. Build your business DNA
Enter a website, and Pomelli will analyse it and create a “Business DNA” profile based on the unique brand identity. This profile includes tone of voice, custom fonts, images and colour palette.

2. Generate tailored campaign ideas
Using the Business DNA profile, Pomelli generates tailored campaign ideas specifically for the business.
Prompts can be entered at this stage to create content tailored to a specific vision.

3. Edit and create branded creatives
Pomelli then creates a set of branded marketing assets that can be edited as needed. They can be downloaded for use across various channels, like social media, website and ads.
