The organisers of the TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards, NZ Marketing magazine and NZ Marketing Association, are thrilled to announce this year’s finalists after the completion of round one judging.
This year’s finalists represent an impressive list of brands, including the likes of ANZ, Contact Energy, Air New Zealand, IAG and 2degrees to name a few. The complete list of finalists can be found here.
The 2022 Awards programme saw the addition of new categories – including those focused on short-term marketing outcomes – giving marketers more opportunity to enter their innovative works and individuals. One of the new categories is Marketing Team of the Year, seeing an impressive eight talented teams being given the nod by the judges.
Leading this year’s team of judges once again is convenor of judges, and Head of Strategic Services at Swaytech, Michael Friedberg. He says that judges deliberated long and hard over the large number of entries to narrow them down to a list of finalists that represent the very best marketing has to offer in the country.
“It was exciting to see so many judges and many first-time judges take part in the evolved and expanded 2022 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards. Dedicating a category to marketing that delivers short-term outcomes allowed judges to focus on business-aligned marketing strategy plus innovative and nimble marketing. The competition was fierce, with intense debates, providing a diverse group of finalists to celebrate.
“I find it really encouraging to see marketing leading growth by building and executing strategies that fundamentally move an organisation on its axis. This is the stuff that makes me proud to be a marketer,” says Friedberg.
